FAQ's

Style:
Film making is just like a piece of art, there are many different ways to create it & even more ways to interpret it. We love creating wedding films & have our own little style going on. It's best to watch a number of our films to feel the love/style of what we create.

Music:
We edit 2 versions of your 'Cinematic Highlights Film'. One with your choice of song/s that is sent you via download link, plus a password protected streaming link for you to watch/share with family & friends online.  The second version is created with a song/s we've licensed for online use, this doesn't require a password and can be openly shared online. We will work with you to pick the perfect licensed song for your openly shareable version.   All the examples on our website are using licensed music for online use.
The for 'Extended Highlights Film' version you can select the songs you wish to use as this is a password protected version as well.

TRAVEL:
We are based in Brisbane & service all of Australia.  Travel fees apply to locations outside of Brisbane & Gold Coast, travel fees are based on flight, accommodation and car hire prices.

Destination Weddings:
Having your wedding overseas? We can travel to international destinations as well. Simply email us for a quote.

Drone footage:
We have a Licensed Drone Pilot as a part of our team & we will capture drone footage where possible. A number of factors are involved in drone usage including weather/location and timing restrictions. Our Licensed Drone Pilot will work you to advise if drone footage can be captured prior to your wedding & again on the day.

How long after my wedding will it take to receive my film? To ensure we provide consistently high quality wedding films, each film is carefully edited by our professionals.  Our turnaround time is 8-12 weeks. Instagram & Facebook shorts will arrive within 2-4 weeks. Please feel free to contact us at any time to check on the production of your film.

Which packages include the full ceremony?
All of our packages include full capture of the ceremony.

Which packages include the full speeches?
All of our packages include full capture of the speeches.

How does the hours of coverage work?
Our quoted hours of coverage included in the packages refer to continuous hours.  The start time is chosen by you.  For example, with a 8 hour package and a nominated start time of 1:00pm, our cinematographer will finish at 9pm. If you require additional time on the day this is charged at $250 per hour and payable on the day.

Can I choose when & where the cinematographer starts on the day?
You can select a suitable time & location for the cinematographer to begin capturing footage. For example, if your ceremony was set to start at 2pm & you booked the 8 hour Highlights Package 1, you could have the cinematographer start at 12pm. This would capture some of the bridal preparation then we would travel to the ceremony, location photo shoot and reception. The coverage would then finish at 8pm.

Do you film the preparations before the wedding ceremony?
We want to capture the parts of the day most important to you.  Many couples choose to include footage of the preparations. We like to allow at least one hour with the girls and 45min with the boys before heading to the ceremony location.  Please bear in mind that we require 30 minutes on location prior to the Brides entry at the ceremony for set up.
A sample run sheet for an 8 hour package could be:
12:15pm   Cinematographer arrives to film preparations at location 1.
1:00pm    Travel  to preparation at location 2.
1:15pm     Arrive at location 2.
2:15pm    Travel to ceremony location.
2:30pm   Arrive at Ceremony Venue.
3:00pm   Ceremony begins.
4:00pm   Follow along to photoshoot.
5:30pm    Travel to reception reception.
6:00pm    Reception starts.
7:00pm    Speeches
7:45pm    First Dance
8:15pm    Cinematographers time finishes.

Can I split the hours of coverage?
Unfortunately we are unable to split the hours of coverage. The hours of coverage are continuous from the starting time.

Is travel time included in the hours of coverage?
Once the cinematographer arrives to the first location the hours of coverage begin. If travel is required between locations, this is within the hours of coverage.

Are we required to provide a meal during the reception?
If you are having us capture footage during the reception a meal is required. These are generally called 'workers meals or 'vendor meals' and can be arranged with your venue.

Parking costs?
If your wedding is in an area that requires us to pay for parking, we will pass these receipts on to you for reimbursement.  This is generally required for inner city weddings and many hotels. We do our best not to use paid parking but it is required on from time to time.

Do you record continuous footage?
The style in which our cinematographers film is designed to capture the best variety footage for the 'Highlights' film. This means they are capturing short clips while moving around for different angles & perspectives. The ceremony & speeches are captured in full.

Is audio recorded during all of the coverage?
Audio is only recorded during the ceremony & speeches. It is not recorded during the preparations or during the location photo shoot etc.

How do we receive our film?
For all of our packages we offer a digital download of your Highlights film, ceremony & speeches. We will send you a link to download this once editing is complete. We also host your film online for you to be able to stream it to friends and family, this is password protected & is hosted online for 12 months.

Do you film in a 'fly on the wall' style?
We do our best to be unobtrusive throughout the ceremony. The cinematographer has a camera which he/she roams with, they will move around the ceremony and day to capture different angles and positions. They generally stay to the sides and back of the ceremony but may approach for the key moments.

Can I make changes to the edited films?
Once you have viewed the films you are able to request one change to the edit if required. If you require more than 1 change, editing is charged at $80 per change.
